Framed pieces

I think of my framed pieces rather like short stories. For me they have an intensity which needs to have a distinct outlining edge – and the acrylic boxes provide a defining line while leaving the content an uncluttered clarity.

The framed pieces range more widely in technique and materials. I use my signature running stitch, but can sometimes involve stones, wire mesh, paper, or felt as well as cotton and silk in the construction.
